Club Goals and Origin
Organized in 1956, the goal of the Garden Club of Cumberland is to educate its
members in home interior and exterior gardening. Extensions of this goal include
flower arranging, garden therapy, and maintenance of city parks.
Members are encouraged to protect the environment and gain an appreciation for
wildlife and conservation of natural areas.

Flower Show 2009 Saturday October 17
Members will celebrate the beauty of fall with a flower show.
The show will be held at the Centre Street United Methodist Church,
Cumberland, MD on Saturday October 17 (1:00 pm to 4:00 pm).
The show will include floral arrangements and horticultural entries
and is open to the public. Refreshments will be served. Plants and holiday items will be for sale

Garden Tour 2010 Saturday June 19, 10:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Tickets available one month prior to tour date at selected local businesses and from garden members. Tickets may also be purchased on tour day at each garden location.
This is an annual fundraiser for the club .Private gardens are opened to the public. Proceeds support club projects such as beautification of Riverside Park, Helen Miller Memorial, donation to The Nature Conservancy, and scholarship to Frostburg State University.
